Randoseru: Japanese Elementary Children's School Bag

Randoseru: Japanese Elementary Children's School Bag
A randoseru (ランドセル) is a firm-sided backpack made of stitched firm leather or leather-like synthetic material, most commonly used in Japan by elementary schoolchildren. Traditionally it is given to a child upon beginning his or her first year of school. The term is a borrowed word from the Dutch "ransel" meaning "backpack", a clue to its origins nearly 200 years ago as used in the Netherlands. (From Wikipedia)

Driving in Japan - To and around Hakone
I really enjoy driving and I like driving in Japan too. Driving in Japan while is sometime crowded, there are plenty of roads to drive around on to get around the traffic, Hakone is a nice peaceful city with lots of scenery to view as you drive. ;)

Mochi (餅/ もち) is Japanese rice cake made of mochigome, a short-grain japonica glutinous rice. The rice is pounded into paste and molded into the desired shape. In Japan it is traditionally made in a ceremony called mochitsuki. While also eaten year-round, mochi is a traditional food for the Japanese New Year and is commonly sold and eaten during that time.
